Hasani Kanjoke's brace, Chimwemwe Idana, and Patrick Mwaungulu made it gives the reigning champions a vital win against rookies Rumphi United and revived their title ambitions with a comfortable 4-1 victory, taking them back to two points behind Blue Eagles.
With Bullets having one eye to catch the eagles, it was not an easy task for Rumphi to get their third win of the campaign.
After beating civo last week Elias Chirambo's side took a while to get to grips with the game, allowing the Bullets to get off to a fast-paced start. However, it was Trouble Kanjani who had the chance for the visitor in the first half, getting on the end of the ball into BB's defense.
After surviving a nervy five minutes where Rumphi spurned some good chances, the hosts turned to their ever-reliable duo to take the lead. Chimwemwe Idana did brilliantly get the ball from the rebound and head the ball into the bottom corner for 1-0. The remainder of the first half could have been won by either side with Kanjani and Kajoke missing great chances, but Bullet doubles the lead through Hasani Kajoke in 36 minutes.
After a lackluster start to the second half, Kalisto Pasuwa's men won a penalty after he was brought down in the box and Kajoke did not make any mistake, 3-0.
In 64 minutes Patrick Mwaungulu scored his first goal for Nyasa Big Bullets and the fourth goal of the game.
Trouble Kanjani pulled one back for the leopards in the 78th minute and it was too late for them to come back into the game.
The result moved Nyasa Big Bullets two points behind leaders Blue Eagles on the standings.
