Nyasa Big Bullets coach has confidence in his Squad.

Saturday afternoon gives rise to us the exciting CAF Champions League game and it features this upcoming clash between Malawi host, Nyasa Big Bullets, and their Tanzanian visitors, SIMBA SC, in the important preliminary round 1st leg encounter at the country's soccer cathedral, Bingu National stadium in Lilongwe.

A win will be vitally important to get themselves off to a good start in the campaign.

On the domestic front, Nyasa Big Bullets have struck a rich vein of form so far in the top flight and another cup. The host has not registered any defeat so far in all competitions, their two painful draws being a surprise 4-4 and 3-3 at Kamuzu Stadium over Moyale Barracks and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers respectively.

The form on home soil in the CAF Champions League has been weak as Nyasa Big Bullets failed to utilize the home ground advantage in the past season.

Simba SC has produced a somewhat mixed bag of results to date in recent friendly matches as the visitors have one victory and two losses in their three games. Although Simba SC has picked up victories in Ligi kuu Bara (NBC Premier League) and friendlies over Kegera Suger, Geita Gold, and Asante Kototo, the visitors have also slipped to setbacks against AS Arta and Al Hilal Omdurman.

The 2021/2022 CAF Confederation cup finalists have notable names in their squad including the 2022 CAF goal of the year winner Pape Ousmane Sakho and flames forward Peter Banda, and the Lions look to be severely cooked ahead of the opening leg at Bingu National Stadium.

Bullets Coach Kalisto Pasuwa recognizes his youthful squad will produce a better result on Saturday.

We lost in previous years but we hope to give good results to the supporters.

Bullets' Yankha Singo is doubtful for this match due to an injury.

In the same stage, last season Nyasa Big Bullets lost to Amazulu FC 3-2 on aggregate after a one-nil win away and 3-1 at home.

With the full support behind them, Nyasa Big Bullets should possess the quality to secure an opening at Bingu national stadium.
