Malawi National Team Coach Mario Marinica says the adjustment of the CAF calendar will give chance for players to have time for resting.

The coach was reacting to the newly released calendar which will give ample time for National teams in their engagements before fulfilling other fixtures.

"I believe this will help teams prepare well and also avoid fatigue which also affects players' performance," he said.

"This will also help on cost management since associations will be having enough time to budget for their fixtures," Marinica said.


The coach further said this will also help fans since they will not be strained financially.

"as for football lovers, the calendar has indeed considered them as we all know that it is not easy for fans to travel and watch their teams play," said Marinica.

TotalEnergies 2023 Cote d'Ivoire Africa Cup of Nations group stages draw is expected to be conducted on Tuesday 19th April 2022 at 17h30GMT.

TotalEnergies CHAN 2023 qualifiers will kick off in July 2022.
