Sable Farming football club will take on league leaders Blue Eagles at the Mpira Stadium this weekend with both sides gunning for three points of the campaign.

For Sable, their chances of getting out from the relegation zone into the top half of the standing are unlikely when they host high-flying Blue Eagles.

Mathematically speaking, they certainly can make their way 4 steps up, but they will need every result in Saturday's game to go in their favor, while they will also have to overturn an incredibly tough goal difference, which in itself is unlikely.

With this in mind, the aim for Blue Eagles within their past games is merely to stay on the top, rack up as many points as they can, and finish the first round strongly in preparation for the next round. As the Eagles have therefore worked many things the club lucked out last season after surviving the relegation dramatically.

Joseph Malizani is under pressure in this game, and his men have only managed to win one game in their first five games since beating Red Lions in early April.

Moreover, considering this victory was against the Reds, it is within itself to fight even for a statement.

Mighty Wanderers beat them in their last fixture 3-1, and with the drawing to TN stars and Ekwenden Hammers already this month, confidence could be very low heading into this game.

The Chiradzulu-based side has also now conceded 6 goals and scored only 5 of their own, and has minus 2 this campaign.

As for Blue Eagles, they are in the winning column this season coming from a 1-0 win over Silver Strikers last weekend, and with other results going in their favor slightly, they are now in first with 19 points.

In other matches Nyasa Big Bullets will be at home on Sunday, hosting the newly promoted side from the Northern region,  Rumphi United. 

Moyale Barracks host their neighbors,  Ekwendeni Hammers on Sunday afternoon in a Mzuzu derby at Mzuzu Stadium.
