TOO HARD TO HANDLE: SABLE BEATEN 3-1

The Blantyre giant Mighty Wanderers stun the rookies Sable Farming in a four-goal thriller at Kamuzu stadium on Saturday afternoon.

It was too much to handle for the newly-promoted side as the team concedes three goals before half an hour of the game.

Two goals from Vincent Nyangulu and Yamikani Chester give the nomads a comfortable lead in the first half before Taniel Mhango pulls one back for Sable in the second half.

The drama to get the equalizer was in Joseph Malizani's mind with different substitutions made but the game was done and dusty.

Back-to-back wins for the Lali Luban side shifted them to the fourth position in the standing with ten points.

Meanwhile, the Kanjedza outfit Mighty Waka Waka Tigers registered their second win of the season following 2-1 over Red Lions at Mpira stadium in Blantyre.

Frank Chikufenji and Precious Chiudza were on target for the Kau Kau boys whereas the last season's golden boot contender Royal Bokosi scored the consolation goal.

Elsewhere in Lilongwe the battle between all military soldiers has favored the military headquarters side Kamuzu Barracks after thumping out Moyale Barracks 2-1 at Civo stadium.

Deus Mkutu and Zeliat Nkhoma scored for the home side while Charles Nkhoma pulls one back for the visitors.

At Nankhaka, high-flying Blue Eagles easily passed Karonga-based side Karonga United 1 nil courtesy of Gaddie Chirwa's efforts.

The Eagles have displaced Nyasa Big Bullets on position 1 with Saturday's victory and have 13 points 3 points above the defending champions who have a game less than Blue Eagles.
