2022 Thumbs Up Southern region football Association league continues with some ups and downs as Nyasa Big Bullets reserve suffered a defeat in Machinga while MDF Marine fc, White Eagles, and Mwanza Prescane registered wins on Saturday afternoon.

A loan goal from Desire Mailosi in the 21st minute was enough to surprise the young Bullets as they went down to Ntaja United on Saturday afternoon.

Enos Chatama's side was unbeaten in all competitions this season and after winning their first opening fixtures.

Elsewhere, the Monkey-bay's Water base soldiers MDF Marine beat  Nyasa United in a five goals thriller at home in Monkey-Bay, Mangochi.

Goals from Daah Rashid, Born Maliwata, and Yotamu Maunde guided MDF marine to a victory whereas Clement Malitino's brace was not enough to rescue a point for Nyasa United.

In a post-match interview with Nyasa, United team manager Bishop Mtchindi Muhango accepted the defeat saying it was not an easy game, considering that we conceded three in the first half which frustrates my boys.

Meanwhile, his counterpart Sargent Frank Chilemba was delighted with the victory despite conceding two goals in the second half.

The victory means that MDF Marine fc has seven points from three matches while Nyasa United fc collected two points from five games.
